[아이엘츠] 비교급 / 최상급

안녕하세요 ~ 이첼이에요.

오늘은 영어 문법 중 비교급/최상급에 대해서 공부할려고해요 ~ 

아이엘츠 시작전 영어 문법은 꼭 필수인거 아시죠 ? 

 

이제 아이엘츠 문법도 얼마안남았어요. 

다들 조금만 더 힘내서 공부해요 ! 

 

 

오늘 같이 공부할 내용은 비교급과 최상급에 관한 것이에요. 

기본적으로 한글로 말하자면 비교급은  ~보다 내가 더 많다 , ~ 보다 내가 키가 더 크다 

어떠한 대상과 비교하는 문법이에요. 

 

최상급이라고 하면 가장 빠른 동물이다  , 너가 최고야 라는 표현을 사용하는 문법이에요. 

 

 

 

 

자 본격적으로 공부해볼까요 ? 

 

예를 들어서 ,    Lee 가 너보다 나이가 더 많니 ?    Is Lee older than you ? 

ex) It's less stressful than my old one. 

 

예를들어서 

 Our company is hiring more people this month.  우리회사는 이번달에 더 많은 사람을 고용한다. 

 We always buy this soda because it contains less sugar.   우리는 항상 이 탄산음료를 산다 왜냐하면 설탕이 적게들어가있어서 

 

 

 

 

예를 들어서 

 

Both Mr. and Mrs. Lee can speak French, Mr Lee speaks it much more fluently though. 

                                                                                                         훨씬 더 유창하게 

The line at the bank was a lot longer than usual. 

                                              평소보다 훨씬 더 긴 

 

 

 

 

예를 들어, 마을에서 가장 큰 빌딩은 가장 최근에 지어졌다.

                The biggest building in town was built the most recently.

                                                                    저희배운 수동태 아시죠? 

 

저 보고서는 가장 덜 중요하다. 

That report is (the) least important. 

 * 명사없이 단독, 부사의 최상급 -> The 생략가능 

 

 

 

 ex ) Which cafe do you go to the most ? 

        In a band, the drummer usually get the least attention. 

 

 

 

 

** 최상급과 자주 쓰는 표현 

 In + 장소/집단             ex) In the world, In the class 

 of + 기간                    ex) Of my life , Of the year.

 of all ( +복수명사)      ex) Of all animals. 

 I know / I've (ever) + p.p  

  ex) It was the most difficult exam I've ever taken. 

        The beach is the most peaceful place I know. 

 

 

** 최상급과 자주쓰는 표현 

1) By far easily + 최상급 ( 단연코, 분명히 )

ex) College was easily the most memorble time of my life. 

ex) Our country's economy grew by far the most rapidly during the 1970s 

 

 

 

2) The second/third .. + 최상급 ( ~번째로 가장 ~한 )

ex) Olivia was the fifth most common name for baby girls in 2005. 

ex) It was the seond strongest in 20 years. 

 

3) One of the + 최상급 + " 복수명사 " /  단수동사 

 ex) One of the most famous astronauts in America was Neil Armstrong. 

                                                  우주비행사

 ex) That was one of the most interesting movies I've ever seen. 

 

** As ~ As  ~만큼 ~ 만/하게  / 부정시 -> not as ~ as 

  ex) The backpack is as expensive as the belt. 

                                       *이렇게 사용하는 것이에요. 

 

 - I reviewed your essay as carefully as I could. 

                                          내가 할 수 있는만큼 주의깊게. 

 - My sofa is not as comfortable as yours. 

                       네것만큼 편하지 않은 

             -> 또는  Your sofa is more comfortable than mine.  이렇게도 표현 가능. 

                       * not as ~ as => 비교급 + than 

 

* as many/much + 명사 + as  : ~ 만큼 많은 ~ 

 ex) Lee doesn't have as much time as in the past. 

 

* The same ( 명사 ) as : ~와 같은 

 ex) I'm the same size as my sister. 

 

* As ~ As 와 자주쓰는표현 

 1) Just / nearly / almist + as ~ as 

   ex) The book is nearly as thick as a dictionary (사전 ) 

 

 2) Twice/Three time + as ~ as : ~ 배만큼 

  ex) Vegetable are twice as expensive as last year. 

            야채               두배 

 

 

 3) ( as ~ as possivle ) or ( 주어 + can )  가능한 ~ 한 /하게 

  ex) If you can't attend the meeting, please let me know as soon as possible. 

             만약에 너가 미팅에  참석할수 없다면 ,                가능한 빨리 알려달라 . 

  ex) Could you describe the thief as clearly as you can. 

                         설명/묘사하다                 명확하게

 

 4) as far as  ~ 하는 한 / 알기론 / 까지 

     - as far as I'm concerned  

                              우려/걱정 

     - as far as I know 

     - as far as I remember
